Jets' Ryan Fitzpatrick: Benched by Jets

Fitzpatrick is expected to be benched in favor of Geno Smith for Sunday's game against the Ravens, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Analysis:

Head coach Todd Bowles said after Monday's loss to the Cardinals that Fitzpatrick was still the starting quarterback, but he backtracked on that statement Tuesday and he's now made the move to go with Smith. While Fitzpatrick has struggled mightily this season, there's little reason to think Smith will be a big upgrade.
