Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Exits blowout with strained hamstring

Palmer was removed from Monday's blowout win over the Jets with a hamstring strain in the fourth quarter, Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports. He completed 23 of 34 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown prior to exiting the contest.

Analysis:

Palmer left after throwing his only touchdown pass of the night to give the Cardinals a 28-3 lead with just over eight minutes remaining. He stayed on the sideline and watched Drew Stanton finish out the rest of the game -- as opposed to heading back to the locker room for an evaluation -- which suggests the injury isn't initially thought to be serious. His practice status will still need to be monitored heading into a Week 7 tilt with the division-leading Seahawks.
