Cowboys' Tony Romo: Not ready to practice
Head coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday that Romo (back) isn't ready to return to practice, Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis:
Although the Cowboys received positive returns from Romo's MRI on Monday, a cautious approach will be taken, likely with his lengthy injury history in mind. The prevailing opinion was a return following the team's Week 7 bye, but the quarterback is still tending to some lingering swelling in his back, which could push his availability to Week 9 instead. In the meantime, he'll continue to throw and work with the training staff, while rookie Dak Prescott leads the offense.
