Cardinals' Carson Palmer: Still in protocol

Palmer (concussion) is "feeling great by all indications," according to general manager Steve Keim, Cardinals writer Darren Urban reports.

Analysis:

Palmer remains in the final stages of the league's concussion protocol but appears to be approaching his clearance by the sound of recent reports. After missing Thursday's win over the 49ers, Palmer doesn't have to be ready to play until next Monday, when the Cardinals host the Jets. That added time seems to bode in Palmer's favor, but until he indeed passes protocol, Drew Stanton should be considered Arizona's starter at quarterback.
