Bennett emerges as Brady's favorite end-zone target after suspension

Tom Brady has numerous targets to choose from in the passing game, two of which he knows so well that no amount of time apart could impact their on-field chemistry.

But when the New England Patriots signal-caller made his triumphant return to the field Sunday, it was a newly acquired tight end he turned to most often with an eye on the end zone.

Just one possession into the second half against the Cleveland Browns, Brady has so far completed 22-of-31 attempts for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Each of those scores, on four passes for 51 yards, went to tight end Martellus Bennett.

Similar to the way in which the Patriots once deployed Aaron Hernandez along Rob Gronkowski, all indications are that the offseason trade addition could emerge as a highly productive pass-catcher with Brady back from suspension.

Either way, regardless of the favorable opponent, Brady and the rest of the passing attack are showing no signs of rust in his season debut.
