Dolphins' Jay Ajayi: Could get more touches this weekend

Ajayi could benefit from coach Adam Gase trimming his running back rotation this Sunday against the Titans, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Analysis:

Ajayi is averaging 4.2 yards per rush, but has yet to receive more than seven carries in any of his three appearances this season. That comes despite his yardage total improving in each game, so a less varied approach from coach Gase could stand to boost Ajayi's production further, particularly with teammate Arian Foster (hamstring) doubtful for Sunday. While it's unclear just how many touches to expect from Ajayi, he and rookie Kenyan Drake figure to be the chief beneficiaries of a shortened rotation.
