Cardinals' David Johnson: Explodes for season-best rushing total in Week 5

Johnson totaled 157 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries and secured three of six targets for 28 yards in Thursday's 33-21 victory over the 49ers. He also lost a fumble.

Analysis:

The second-year standout finally delivered the game fantasy owners and the Cardinals had been waiting for, helping to key the much-needed victory in the absence of Carson Palmer. Johnson broke a 7-7 tie early in the third quarter with a four-yard scoring run, and added a two-yard dive off right tackle in the fourth to extend the Cardinals' lead to 31-14 at the time. It was 24-year-old's second two-touchdown game in the last three weeks, as well as his first 100-yard effort since Week 15 of last season. Johnson will face a stiffer challenge in Week 6 versus a stingy Jets run D.
