Rams' Todd Gurley: Could be more active in passing attack

Gurley could be utilized more frequently as a receiver going forward, Alden Gonzalez of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Gurley hauled in each of his five targets for 49 yards -- both career highs -- in the Week 4 contest against Arizona, and if the expanded role in the passing game does come to fruition, it is a plus for his fantasy stock. The sophomore has been held to 2.6 rushing yards per attempt and only 216 rushing yards through the first four games of the season, which is significantly less efficient than his 4.8 YPC last season. Still, the worst stretch of Gurley's 2016 campaign could be in the rear-view mirror. Los Angeles has rushed on 46.8 percent of its offensive plays the past three weeks and should continue to lean on its stout defense and ground attack, which will provide plenty of opportunities for Gurley to turn his poor start around.
