Falcons' Mohamed Sanu: Limited at Wednesday's practice

Sanu (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

In advance of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Adam Schefter of ESPN received clarification that Sanu's injury is in fact a separated shoulder, which contained the wide receiver to two catches (on three targets) for 22 yards, despite Matt Ryan's 503-yard outburst. The majority of Ryan's looks fueled Julio Jones' career-best, 300-yard effort, with the remainder scattered among the Falcons' receiving options. Meanwhile, a healthier Sanu could grab a larger share of the passing yardage moving forward, explaining the Falcons' cautious approach with his practice reps.
