Gates (hamstring) practiced Wednesday.

Analysis:

We'll have to see if Gates is able to maintain his participation as the week rolls along, but if Thursday's practice doesn't result in a downgrade on that front, the veteran tight end would be trending toward a potential return to action Sunday against the Raiders.
