Week 5 Betting Preview: Predictions for every matchup

Reuters

Each week during the NFL season, theScore's Gino Bottero will handicap each of the week's matchups and offer up a three-pack of picks.

Cincinnati Bengals (-1) at Dallas Cowboys

This is a big step up in class for a Cowboys team whose wins have come over Washington, Chicago, and San Francisco. The Bengals come in off extra rest, and that should be enough to avoid the look-ahead factor. Andy Dalton's 14-4-1 SU and ATS in his career when facing NFC opponents. Bengals 24, Cowboys 13

New York Giants (+7.5) at Green Bay Packers

There's been a lot of drama around the Giants of late, but this is a good game for them to get back on track facing a Packer secondary that's allowing an average of 330.3 yards and two scores through the air. Packers 27, Giants 24

Chicago Bears (+4.5) at Indianapolis Colts

Teams playing in London typically get a bye following their trip, but the Colts are right back at it. The Bears' prospects look brighter with Brian Hoyer and Jordan Howard leading the offense. Bears 24, Colts 21

Remaining Week 5 matchups

San Francisco 49ers (+3.5) vs. Arizona Cardinals

Since the start of last season, the 49ers are 1-9 SU and 2-8 ATS on the road, but 5-5 SU and 6-4 ATS at home. 49ers 20, Cardinals 17

Minnesota Vikings (-6) vs. Houston Texans

Things haven't gone as planned for the Texans, and a date with the Vikings defense should add to their frustrations. Vikings 20, Texans 10

Tennessee Titans (+3.5) at Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have no running game, and the Titans are a little better at defending the pass than most think. Titans 24, Dolphins 21

New England Patriots (-10.5) at Cleveland Browns

An extra-motivated Tom Brady isn't something the Browns are built to handle. Patriots 41, Browns 14

Pittsburgh Steelers (-7) vs. New York Jets

There was a time when the Jets were as good as any team at defending the pass. But that time's gone. Steelers 34, Jets 21

Washington Redskins (+3.5) at Baltimore Ravens

Washington has a chance to reel off wins in this favorable stretch of schedule. Redskins 21, Ravens 20

Philadelphia Eagles (-3) at Detroit Lions

The Eagles looked awfully good going into their bye, while the Lions have been finding ways to lose games. Eagles 28, Lions 17

Denver Broncos (-5.5) vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Broncos might be the best team in football through four weeks. They're the perfect squad to expose the Falcons as frauds. Broncos 26, Falcons 7

Buffalo Bills (+2) at Los Angeles Rams

The Rams' embarrassing opener is a distant memory, but so is the Bills' 0-2 start. Bills 24, Rams 16

San Diego Chargers (+3.5) at Oakland Raiders

Whoever has the ball last wins this game. Chargers 38, Raiders 34

Carolina Panthers (OFF*) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Panthers won both meetings with the Buccaneers last season by a combined 42 points. Jameis Winston tossed six interceptions in those games. Panthers 38, Buccaneers 21

*Assuming line of Panthers -6
