Jets HC Bowles doesn't 'foresee any changes' at QB position

It's not quite Geno Smith time just yet.

Despite watching Ryan Fitzpatrick throw nine interceptions in two games, New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles said Monday he won't be making any moves at the quarterback position.

"I don't foresee any changes right now. ... Ryan is fine," said Bowles.

Bowles emphasized his confidence in the 12th-year passer, saying he "gives us our best chance to win."

It's fair to say, however, that the Jets have lost two straight games mainly because of Fitzpatrick's poor decision making.

The 33-year-old was reportedly on a short leash before his three-interception game in Week 4, so another turnover-laden performance could lead to Bowles turning over the reins to Smith.

But after an offseason dominated by the Jets' attempts to re-sign Fitzpatrick, it appears the club isn't quite ready to make that move.
