Titans' Marcus Mariota: Inaccurate in Houston
Marietta completed just 13 of 29 passes for 202 yards and an interception while scrambling four times for 20 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss at Houston.
Analysis:
Marietta was unusually inaccurate, and thus deferred to a persistent running game that topped 100 yards and scored both Titans touchdowns. The second-year quarterback has an unimpressive 4:5 touchdown to interception ratio, which is discouraging given that he was picked off only 10 times to go with 19 touchdown passes as a rookie. His usual top two targets (Tajae Sharpe and Delanie Walker) were both playing through hamstring injuries, and looked limited in hauling in a combined four of 15 targets. Hopefully their improved health will lead to a stronger Week 5 performance out of Mariota in Miami.
