Report: Bryant making trip to San Francisco, not ruled out yet

Don't rule Dez Bryant out just yet.

Despite hinting he wouldn't be in the lineup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys' star receiver is making the trip to the Bay Area with the rest of the team, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

It's unclear whether that means he has a chance to play through the hairline fracture suffered in his knee last week, but players dealing with injuries are often left at home during road trips.

For what it's worth, owner Jerry Jones said Friday that Bryant could suit up if he's able to deal with the pain.

Bryant avoiding any sort of missed time would, of course, be a massive break for the Cowboys. He remains the most dangerous playmaker on the offensive side and thus an important safety valve for rookie quarterback Dak Prescott.

Dallas would be forced to rely on Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley, and Brice Butler as its top three receivers in the event that Bryant can't play.
