Roethlisberger to undergo MRI on left knee

Jasen Vinlove / USA TODAY Sports

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is getting an MRI on his left knee after suffering an injury during Sunday's 30-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Roethlisberger left the game, but returned in the second half.

"It obviously hurts," Roethlisberger said to NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala.

Roethlisberger's right knee is also discolored and he finished the game in obvious discomfort.

The quarterback lamented his performance after the loss, noting that he hopes the knee injury isn't serious.

"We weren't (consistent) tonight," Roethlisberger said. "That's on all of us."

Landry Jones played in Roethlisberger's absence.
