West (ankle sprain) won't play Sunday night against the Steelers, BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com reports.

Analysis:

Though West is out this week, the Chiefs' backfield is poised to be bolstered by the anticipated return to action of Jamaal Charles. Assuming Charles and Spencer Ware -- who has been leading the team's rushing attack out of the gate this season -- can hold up, West's role (once he regains his health) figures to be limited.
