Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan said Friday there is "major concern" wide receiver Sammy Watkins' foot injury could affect his availability for the rest of the season.

The Bills ruled out Watkins for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots, meaning he'll miss his second straight game, after he was sidelined for the victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.

Watkins underwent offseason foot surgery, and suffered a setback last week when he had his foot stepped on during a walk-through.

The Bills had already acknowledged Watkins would be playing through pain all season due to the injury.

In addition to Watkins, the team ruled out wide receiver Greg Salas, offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, and center Patrick Lewis.
