Cowboys' Bryant explains 'poor decision' to skip meeting, MRI

Dez Bryant brought further attention to the status of his injured knee this week when he drew a fine for missing both a team meeting and a scheduled MRI.

The Dallas Cowboys receiver addressed the mystery surrounding those actions in a tweet posted Thursday, taking responsibility for the move he says was made based on how he felt about his knee.

Head coach Jason Garrett explained earlier in the day that Bryant skipped out on the obligations for fear of uncovering a serious injury, but did not excuse the behavior and issued the discipline accordingly.

Bryant is reportedly not expected to play in Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers as he deals with a hairline fracture in his knee. A timeline for his return has yet to be disclosed, but the injury is not thought to be of the long-term variety.
