Jets' Lawrence Thomas: Placed on IR
Thomas (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve, the team announced Thursday.
Analysis:
Just a day after head coach Todd Bowles originally said that Thomas would miss "at least a couple weeks" with a torn labrum, Thomas was placed on injured reserve, so the timetable for his return is still up in the air. Sheldon Richardson and Jarvis Jenkins will likely see an increase in snaps with Thomas out. Jeremy Ross was signed Thursday to the team's open roster spot.
