Report: Giants' Jennings unlikely to play Monday vs. Vikings

New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings is still nursing a left thumb injury and is "unlikely to play" Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings, sources told ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

Jennings suffered the injury in Week 2 and was expected to wear a cast and play in Week 3, but was held out of action. It appears he'll miss another week with the ailment.

With Shane Vereen out for the season with a torn triceps, rushing responsibilities will fall on Orleans Darkwa, Paul Perkins, and Bobby Rainey in a matchup against the league's sixth-ranked defense.
