Raiders' Osemele plans to 'pancake' former Ravens teammates

Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele is still bitter that his former team let him walk in free agency.

Osemele played four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens prior to signing a five-year, $58.5-million deal with the Raiders, and he's not pretending Sunday's matchup with Baltimore is meaningless.

"It's not just another game," Osemele told reporters Wednesday, according to Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official website. "Obviously things didn't go the way I wanted it to, and I ended up leaving. It's going to be an emotional game."

Osemele moved to left tackle full time with the Raiders, making his big-money deal reasonable value, but said during contract negotiations with the Ravens, the two sides "didn't get close at all."

His bitterness seems to be directed not at the organization as a whole, but at "one coach in particular" Osemele says he "didn't quite gel with and had issues with."

Osemele's also planning to take out some anger on a few former teammates.

"There are a few guys, obviously, that it's going to be fun to finish through and play against in the game when you couldn't really finish through and pancake your own teammates (in practice)," he said. "To go out there and talk a little trash and compete against those guys is going to be fun."

When asked who in particular should get ready to be pancaked, Osemele simply said:

"You'll see on Sunday."
