Redskins' Josh Doctson: In line for multi-week absence

Doctson could sit out multiple weeks due to a lingering Achilles injury, the Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Initially listed as active in Week 3, the Redskins called an audible shortly thereafter and ruled the rookie wide receiver out after he emerged from pregame warmups feeling unwell. According to head coach Jay Gruden, "He just didn't feel comfortable. Couldn't push off the way he wanted to. So we had to make that last-minute switch [for fellow wideout Rashad Ross]." Doctson has since undergone a series of tests, but no structural damage has been revealed in his Achilles. Nonetheless, the Redskins appear to be leaning toward an extended absence in order to allow Doctson to approach 100 percent at some point during the season.
