Gronkowski can't wait to go 'crazy out there again'
Rob Gronkowski didn't do much with the limited snaps he received in his first game of the season last week and he's getting impatient with the progress of his hamstring injury.
The New England Patriots tight end knows it wouldn't be smart to rush his way into the lineup given his playing style and injury, but that doesn't mean he's not missing it.
"I can’t wait until I’m going crazy out there again," Gronkowski said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
He added, "You’ve got to be careful with any injury, but I mean, if you research hamstrings, if you know anything about hamstrings, you’ve definitely got to be careful. You’ve got to progress. You can’t just hop back in and be full-go 100 percent. I wish it was like that."
Gronkowski said he hasn't experienced any setbacks following his first game action of the season and hinted that he feels ready to be used more than he's been so far.
"Whenever I’m out on the field, I love to go full go, but they put me in the plays where they felt more comfortable, and when I was in those plays, I felt like I was ready to roll," said Gronkowski.
The Patriots take on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday as they attempt to go undefeated in the short Tom Brady-less era.
