Bears' Alshon Jeffery: Limited Wednesday

Jeffery (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

The Bears have capped Jeffery's activity level in back-to-back weeks due to a knee injury, but the ailment didn't stop him from hooking up with backup QB Brian Hoyer on Sunday to the tune of five catches for 70 yards. Jeffery has taken full advantage of his 20 targets this season, averaging a ridiculous 13.6 per look, so the signal-caller doesn't appear to matter with Jeffery. In any case, with Jay Cutler (thumb) logging a limited practice as well Wednesday, Jeffery could be working with a familiar face Sunday against the Lions, assuming the wideout is active again in Week 4.
