Bears' Jay Cutler: Limited practice Wednesday
Cutler (thumb) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis:
After a week in which he didn't practice and subsequently didn't play due to a sprained right thumb, Cutler's presence in drills was likely a welcome sight for the injury-plagued squad. As head coach John Fox mentioned Monday, the Bears will evaluate Cutler "day-to-day," so his activity level will be one to monitor as the week unfolds. If he's unable to take the field in Week 4, his primary backup, Brian Hoyer, will again be under center.
