Cowboys' Dez Bryant: Diagnosed with hairline fracture in knee

Bryant received a diagnosis of a hairline fracture in his right knee Wednesday, NFL.com reports.

Analysis:

Bryant will seemingly feel the after-effects of the injury suffered on the Cowboys' first drive of this past Sunday's game for some time, as intimated by head coach Jason Garrett, who said that the team will take his recovery "day-to-day, week-to-week." Garrett is hopeful that the standout wide receiver will miss no time as a result, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Bryant may suit up this week, or sit out three weeks in order to tend to the injury. With such a range of timetables for Bryant's next appearance, his status will be watched diligently in advance of Sunday's contest at San Francisco.
