Chiefs' Jamaal Charles: Slated to practice Wednesday

Charles (knee) is slated to practice Wednesday, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Analysis:

It remains to be seen if Charles is able to graduate to full participation as the week rolls along, but for now, coach Andy Reid indicates that the running back will work with the team Wednesday "and we'll just see from there." Meanwhile, fellow RB Charcandrick West is dealing with an ankle sprain. In any case, Charles' Week 4 status has yet to be determined and Sunday night's contest against the Steelers could well feature a Kansas City ground game once again headed by Spencer Ware.
