Redskins' Vernon Davis: Goes catchless against the Giants

Davis was not targeted during Sunday's win over the Giants.

Analysis:

Davis failed to build on Week 2's five-catch performance, while tight end Jordan Reed and receivers DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon and Jamison Crowder all saw at least seven targets. Davis' days as a reliable tight end seem to be behind him, and he may be more impressive in reputation than in reality. The once-stellar tight end hasn't put together consecutive five-catch games since Weeks 2 and 3 of the 2012 season.
