Packers' Jeff Janis: Health appears to be improving

Janis received his first offensive snaps of the season in Sunday's victory over the Lions, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.

Analysis:

Janis again sported a cast Sunday with his broken hand not quite at 100 percent, but the Packers still threw him out as a receiver on three occasions for the first time this season. He may be able to shed the cast following the Packers' Week 4 bye, but given the depth of the team's receiving corps, it remains to be seen if his role will increase at all.
