Bills' Lorenzo Alexander: Quiet producer

Alexander logged six tackles, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble during Sunday's upset win over the Cardinals. He was on the field for 56 of 82 defensive snaps.

Analysis:

Alexander has logged at least a half-sack in each game so far, and now has three already on the young season. He's been incredibly productive once you factor in the fact he's only played 65 percent of the defensive snaps through three games. And that's where the IDP rub lies -- fellow linebackers Preston Brown and Zach Brown barely come off the field and therefore offer more long-term production. However, Alexander is a starter just like the other two, so we'll see if he can somehow convince the coaches to bump that figure up, but given his age (33) and athletic limitations, we think the Bills will continue to rotate him out under certain situations.
