A suddenly explosive Atlanta Falcons offense appears to have avoided any major losses in an impressive win over the division rival New Orleans Saints Monday night.

Quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receiver Mohamed Sanu are each expected to play next week against the Carolina Panthers despite emerging with injuries, ESPN's Ed Werder reports.

Ryan was dealing with a thumb issue on his non-throwing hand toward the end of Monday night's game - he didn't miss any snaps, but the status of the veteran quarterback at least became a minor concern as a result of the glove he was forced to wear.

Sanu missed the entire second half after being forced to the locker room with a shoulder issue. If indeed cleared to play, he remains Ryan's No. 2 target alongside Julio Jones.

Atlanta enters its Week 4 matchup with the defending NFC champs riding high off a pair of wins that moved the club to 2-1 on the year.
