Bengals' Eifert hints he's at least a week away from return

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert doesn't sound like a player who expects to make his 2016 debut in Week 4.

Eifert, who had ankle surgery in late May and hasn't played this season, told reporters Tuesday that he's "still working through some things."

Eifert mentioned "patience" and "trusting the process," strong hints that he's still at least a week away from getting back on the field - especially because the Bengals play on Thursday night.

Head coach Marvin Lewis recently said Eifert is close to a return, so perhaps Week 5 is a realistic target date.
