Falcons' Mohamed Sanu: Unable to return after injuring shoulder

Sanu (shoulder) was unable to return to Monday's game against the Saints after exiting in the second quarter, ESPN's Vaughn McClure reports.

Analysis:

Sanu left for the locker room late in the second quarter, finishing with three catches for 31 yards on four targets in what eventually turned into an easy Atlanta victory. He wanted to re-enter the game later on, but his shoulder injury ultimately proved to be too serious. If he misses time beyond Monday, the Falcons will turn to some combination of Justin Hardy, Aldrick Robinson and Taylor Gabriel to handle expanded roles behind Julio Jones.
