Steelers' Le'Veon Bell: Officially activated

Bell has officially been activated from the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list, per NFL.com.

Analysis:

After serving a three-game suspension for a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, Bell was eligible for reinstatement Monday and is now formally the top running back in Pittsburgh once again. He may serve as one of the team's top receiving options right off the bat as well; the Steelers have lacked an elite option in the passing game behind All-Pro wideout Antonio Brown through the first three weeks of the season, as DeAngelo Williams (14) and tight end Jesse James (10) are second and third on the team in receptions, respectively, behind Brown's 24. This is a void Bell should help fill, and fill well, as the multi-faceted tailback corralled a gaudy 83 receptions for 854 receiving yards and three touchdowns in his last fully-healthy, 16-game season. While it's unclear how many touches Williams may command after his admirable showing as the Steelers' lead back, Bell is positioned to embark on his delayed 2016 campaign as a top fantasy option across all formats.
