Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Expected to practice Wednesday, play in Week 4

Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that he expects Wilson (knee) to practice Wednesday, before suiting up Sunday against the Jets in New York, Liz Mathews of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Analysis:

Carroll also expressed caution during the media session, but Wilson is "remarkably well off" for the type of play that resulted in his current diagnosis of a sprained MCL in his left knee. After suffering a sprained right ankle in the regular season opener, Wilson upheld Carroll's expectation with full practices throughout Week 2 preparations, but the quarterback's mobility has been noticeably lacking, with just 10 carries for 33 yards on the season. With a more serious injury in tow this time around, limited showings could very well be on the docket. However, after a few days of rehabilitation, Wednesday's injury report will reveal whether Wilson is again able to tough it out.
