Dolphins' Arian Foster: Unlikely to play Thursday

Foster (groin) will likely be held out of Thursday's game against the Bengals.

Analysis:

Foster was inactive for Sunday's game against Cleveland and the Dolphins are not inclined to rush him back into action on a short week. "It would be tough for us to get him back this week without practicing," coach Adam Gase noted. "I'd rather be more cautious with him and get him for the duration than rush him back and lose him again. We're going to make sure that he is at the right place for us before we put him back out there." Assuming Foster ends up sitting out Thursday's game, the Dolphins' Week 4 rushing attack would be handled by a committee headed by Kenyan Drake and Jay Ajayi, with Damien Williams and Isaiah Pead also in the mix.
