Packers' Ty Montgomery: Plays sparingly in Week 3

Montgomery did not catch a pass and had one carry for minus-one yard in Sunday's victory over the Lions.

Analysis:

Montgomery tallied just four snaps Sunday, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, and was even used out of the backfield, but he was at least involved in the game plan to some degree after being shut out in Week 2. A position change is not in the works for Montgomery, but he has not been able to get on the field at his true position, so the Packers tried another way to get him involved. He remains part of a fluid situation behind the Packers' top trio of wideouts in Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and Davante Adams.
