Giants' Darian Thompson: Figures to be back in couple of weeks

Thompson (foot) should be back in a couple of weeks, Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

There were concerns that Thompson had suffered a dreaded Lisfranc injury in Week 2's matchup against the Saints, potentially sidelining him for an extended period. Luckily, it was just a sprain, and while the Giants will be very thin at safety for the next couple of weeks, Thompson should be good to go for the bulk of the season.
