Seahawks' Russell Wilson: Says he could have returned to game

Wilson (sprained knee) said he could have returned to Sunday's game against the 49ers if the score had been closer, ESPN's Sheil Kapadia reports.

Analysis:

Wilson got his left leg pinned underneath 49ers linebacker Eli Harold on a sack in the third quarter, and while the injury initially appeared serious, he surprisingly only missed one snap and then finished out the drive. He was taken out for good at the end of the series, with Seattle holding a 27-3 lead and in no real danger of losing. Wilson is scheduled for an MRI on Monday. He has yet to miss a game in his career, and he's already been playing through a sprained right ankle that the Seahawks initially expected to require a multi-game absence. If Wilson can't play in Week 4, Trevone Boykin will start at the Jets.
