Lions' Levy downgraded to out vs. Packers

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy will not play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers due to a quad injury.

The 2014 second-team All-Pro was initially listed as doubtful but did not travel with the team to Green Bay on Saturday.

Levy didn't play in Week 2 either. He's now missed 17 of 19 games since signing a four-year, $34-million contract prior to the 2015 season.

The Lions also waived wide receiver Aaron Dobson in order to sign linebacker Zaviar Gooden from the practice squad.
