Chargers' Antonio Gates: Misses another practice

Gates (hamstring) missed practice again Thursday, Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune reports.

Analysis:

The 36-year-old tight end is trending in the wrong direction here, so unless Gates returns to practice Friday and looks sharp in doing so, he's looking iffy for Sunday's game against the Colts. The Chargers have three tight ends on their practice squad, so if Gates ends up being ruled out for Week 3, the team has some in-house depth to call on.
