Barring some substantial progress with the shoulder injury sustained in last week's win over the Miami Dolphins, third-round rookie Jacoby Brissett will get the nod for his first career start.
Rob Gronkowski, who missed each of the first two games with a hamstring issue, is listed as questionable after another week of limited practice participation.
The star tight end could conceivably be made a game-time decision, but he'd have well over a week of additional rehab time if the Patriots keep him on the sidelines Thursday.
Martellus Bennett will continue to see work with the starting offense if Gronkowski's return is delayed another game.
