As Carson Wentz continues to impress in the early days of his first season in the NFL, more people are expressing their surprise at the Cleveland Browns' decision to trade away their rights to draft him second overall at this year's draft.

Count Ben Roethlisberger among them.

Roethlisberger and his Pittsburgh Steelers will get their first look at the Philadelphia Eagles' rookie quarterback this week, but he thought he would match up against him more frequently.

"I was really surprised. I thought I would be facing him two times a year in Cleveland," Roethlisberger said on a conference call with reporters Wednesday.

"He's a heady player. He's smart. Understands the game. Physically gifted, both with his legs and his arm. He can make all the throws."

Fans of the Browns, a team already set to start its third quarterback in three weeks, may be just as surprised as Roethlisberger at this point.
