Panthers' Kawann Short: Did not participate in Wednesday's practice

Short (shoulder) did not participate at Wednesday's practice, Bryan Strickland of Panthers.com reports.

Analysis:

Short has recorded five tackles (four solo) throughout the first two weeks of the regular season, but his status for Sunday's game against the Vikings is up in the air as he deals with a shoulder issue. Vernon Butler and Paul Soliai are next in line to replace Short at defensive tackle if he remains out.
