Watt wants to forget Texans 2012 letterman jackets

Back in 2012, a 23-year-old Houston Texans defensive end named Justin James Watt thought wearing custom-made team letterman jackets to a game against the New England Patriots was pretty cool.

Four years later, Watt doesn't even want to think about it.

"I've got no idea," Watt told John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, when asked where the jacket is now. "Those were some bad memories.

"I don't think (I still have it). I hope not. I don't want to bring that back up at all. Those were some bad days."

At the time, several Texans took part in the fashion trend inspired by defensive tackle Shaun Cody, including current Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Connor Barwin.

The Texans once again travel to New England for their Week 3 matchup Thursday night. They'll hope for a different result than 2012, when the Patriots handed an 11-1 Texans team a nasty 42-14 thrashing.
