Vikings' Adrian Peterson: MRI on tap

Coach Mike Zimmer said that Peterson will undergo an MRI on his right knee Monday morning, Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune reports.

Analysis:

At first glance, it looks like Peterson will miss some time, though Zimmer did offer some hope on that front by noting (of the running back's injury) after Sunday's game, that "whatever it was, it calmed down. So we'll see." Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata are listed behind Peterson, in that order, on the Vikings' RB depth chart.
