Report: Teammates growing upset with Kirk Cousins' indecision
Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins led the NFL in completion percentage last season, but apparently that's been forgotten by his teammates.
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported that a number of Cousins' teammates complained about his indecision, after the team stumbled to an 0-2 start. An unnamed Redskins player lobbied for Colt McCoy to take over as starter.
Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said Cousins will be afforded the opportunity to review film to figure out his mistakes prior to Week 3.
"We've got the New York Giants as soon as we leave here, so he can watch the tape, find out what's going on if he's not sure what the indecision might be, why he's missing some throws, but you know, it's a tough game. He's got people around his feet," Gruden told reporters postgame. "He's got to make some tough throws and usually ones he would normally hit but he missed a few today. We'll coach him up."
Cousins completed 65.2 percent of his passes for 693 yards, a touchdown,and three interceptions through both losses.
