Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul: Status uncertain for Sunday
Pierre-Paul (shoulder) could miss Sunday's game against the Saints, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports. "If we have had a practice [Friday], he would not have practiced. We'll take a look at him again tomorrow. He'll have an opportunity to get out there on the field tomorrow at practice and we'll go from there," said coach Ben McAdoo on Friday.
Analysis:
The star defensive end was able to log a full practice Wednesday but he still landed on the injury report Friday with a questionable designation. His level of participation in Saturday's practice should shed some light on his availability for this week, but it's beginning to look like he'll be a true game-time decision. If Pierre-Paul is unable to play Sunday, it'd be a major loss for a Giants pass rush that needs to get New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees out of rhythm.
