Browns' Coleman out 4-6 weeks, won't require hand surgery

The Cleveland Browns' offense has lost a third key member in as many weeks.

Browns rookie wide receiver Corey Coleman is expected to miss four-to-six weeks after fracturing his hand in practice, but won't require surgery, the club announced Thursday.

This comes after quarterbacks Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown went down with injuries - Griffin's likely season-ending - leaving rookie Cody Kessler as the starter.

Coleman's injury derails what could have been a legitimate Rookie of the Year-type season, after the young wideout caught seven balls for 173 yards and two touchdowns over the first two games.

With his timeline, the earliest Coleman could return is Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Browns' receiver corps will get a boost from the return of suspended Josh Gordon in Week 5, but the loss of Coleman is still a major blow.
