Cardinals' Tyrann Mathieu: Slated to play Sunday

Mathieu (knee) returned to a full practice Friday and does not have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 reports.

Analysis:

Mathieu merely took a day off for purposes of rest, and his Sunday availability was never truly in question. After working as a slot corner for much of last season, Mathieu served as a traditional free safety Week 1 against New England. He'll likely man the same role for the foreseeable future.
